Dr. La Verne Ford Wimberly is a retired educator/administrator. Her 39-year career in Tulsa Public Schools include: interim superintendent, deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, director of middle schools, counseling and social services and gifted and talented programs, principal, assistant principal, guidance dean, counselor and teacher. She has a passion for ensuring the success of all students and serving her church and community. She has a bachelor of arts degree in clinical psychology, a master of teaching arts and a doctorate in administration. As a personal highlight, her Facebook postings during the pandemic have gone viral and she has been featured in print, broadcast, and Internet media around the world.
